[Performance notes]
Capo 2
Key: C + 2 = D major
I feel the song in a very slow 2/4, quarter = 44.
This is for the most part a very simple and slow strumming song, but Buck does play with some melodic
stepwise stuff as he moves between chords. I wrote out some of these as chords, but there are more; for
instance, hammer on 0h2 on the fourth string when moving from Em to F in the chorus, and play the bass F#
when moving from G to F. Note also that he's playing more on the lower strings than the higher ones.

[INTRO]
[C] [Csus2] [C]
[VERSE 1]
[C] Follow me to the w[Em]ood
Through the d[F]ew fields and the bog
I'll sh[G]ow you what I saw last Nov[C]ember [Csus2]
As [Em]autumn's curtain closed something ope[F]ned
Something [G]old
[C] No one seems to bel[Em]ieve
In the st[F]ories that I tell
So I k[G]eep them to myself
But you[C] see [Em]shadows too my fri[F]end
My fr[G]iend [G#5]
[CHORUS]
[Am] Something is [F]watching us
[C] From behind [G]
[F] An eye that c[C]annot close [G]
[F] Until the [C]morning b[E]linds and [F]burns
[F] We are h[Fm]ers, we are h[C]ers [Csus2]
[VERSE 2]
[C] In an evening[Em] gown of gr[F]ey blooms[G]
Rose the w[C]itch
The b[Em]itch
The wicked w[F]orm [G]
[C] With one cold k[Em]iss from her black l[F]ips
We fr[G]oze, we froze [C] [Csus2]
