The Informer Chords & Lyrics - David Bowie

[INTRO]
[Bb] [G]

I [C]took the job, I [G]packed the bag
I r[C]ide the train to the [G]pick-up point
I'll be [C]telling myself There was no [G]other way
That you [A]brought it on yourself
Now my [C]heart's aflame
At the end of your [G]life
it's the end of your [D]life

I've got a [C]pool of blood On this [G]bathroom floor
The [C]mirror's broke There's a [G]crack in the door
There's a [C]broken window That I'll be c[G]rawling through
Then I've c[A]hanged my life
And we w[C]on't have you
We won't have [G]you
No,we won't have [D]you

[Bb]Good or evi[A]l,[G#] [G]Saint or who[G#]re [A]
[Bb]Domestic or publi[A]c,[G#] [G]I don't recall
You were [B]on the ledger
Your name was [C]double crossed
You were the [A]prime assignment
So [D]help me Christ

I've got [C]major questions About the [G]Lord above
About [C]Satan below About the [G]way we love
About the [C]rule at the top And the [G]people coming up
And I s[A]till don't know
What we were [C]looking for
But it wasn't [G]you
No, it wasn't [D]you
no, it wasn't [Bb]you?[G] ?
It wasn't [Bb]you [G] [Bb] [G]
