Well the [G]path to destruction's like an [C]interstate [G]highway

[G]Well it's wide and it's smooth and it's [C]easy to [G]travel
[G]And the all of a sudden my life [C]came un[G]raveled

[CHORUS 1]
Some[G]body--Some[D]where--Some[G]body held me up in [C]prayer
Cause I was [G]so far [E]down I had to [A7]reach up to touch the [D7]ground
[G]Jesus said if you bel[D]ieve, just [C]ask and you shall re[G]ceive
[G]Somebody was down on their [D]knees prayin' for [G]me

[VERSE 2]
I was [G]on the wrong track like a runa[C]way freight [G]train
I [G]was a rocking and a rolling my way [C]down the fast [G]lane
Any [G]port in a storm, and plea[C]sure that pleas[G]es
I ran [G]into a brick wall and his [C]name was Jes[G]us

Some[G]body--Some[D]where--Some[G]body must have really [C]cared
I was [G]lost and I was so [E]alone that I [A7]couldn't find my way back home
I was [G]standing in the sinking [D]sand, then he [G]reached down his merciful [C]hand
Some[G]body was down on their [D]knees, praying for [G]me
