Maxine Chords & Lyrics - John Legend

[VERSE]
I hap[C]pened to notice a girl in a light shade of [G]blue
I happ[C]ened to see her, the sight of her leaves me con[G]fused
She may not be y[D]ou[C]
But she looks just li[G]ke you
She may not be y[D]ou[C]
But she looks just l[G]ike you

You should've se[C]en the way she wore her dress
And her wh[G]ite stiletto shoes
You should've se[C]en the way they looked on her
Just like the on[G]es that I bought you
I searched for d[D]ays on end to no avail
'Til I fo[G]und them in Peru
She must've b[D]een to Lima just as well
Becau[C]se she had them t[D]oo
You should've se[C]en her eyes, her lips, her face
She looked as sw[G]eet as honeydew
You should've se[C]en the way she walked away
Oh, she sway[G]ed her hips like you
I was on[D]ly several steps from her
But she ne[G]ver noticed me
I took anot[D]her sip of fine liqueur
It was qu[C]ite a sight to s[D]ee

I happ[C]ened to notice a girl in a light shade of bl[G]ue
I happe[C]ned to see her, the sight of her leaves me con[G]fused
She may not be y[D]ou[C]
But she looks just li[G]ke you
She may not be [D]yo[C]u
But she looks just l[G]ike you

You should've se[C]en the way he stroked her hair
And the smi[G]le that lit her face
You should've see[C]n the way he kissed her lips
Did it ha[G]ve the same sweet taste?
Though my m[D]ind, it might be running wild
In const[G]ant search of you
It's funny how my e[D]yes keep seeing things my heart
Would not b[C]elieve are t[D]rue

I happe[C]ned to notice a man in a dark shade of [G]blue
Who hap[C]pened to be with a woman who leaves me con[G]fused
She may not be y[D]ou[C]
But she looks just li[G]ke you
She may not be y[D]ou[C]
But she looks just li[G]ke you

Ma[C]xi[D]ne, she looks just lik[G]e you
Max[C]in[D]e, she looks just li[G]ke you
Max[C]ine, Max[G]ine
