A Teachers Song Chords & Lyrics - Misc Unsigned Bands - Speedy Briggs

[VERSE]

[D]You start with an empty field,
You plow it up and plant the seed,
And G[G]od provides the sunshine,
And a[Em]ll the rain it nee[A7]ds.
[D]To grow into a tree that bears,
Fruit pure and sweet,
A p[G]roduct of your l[A7]abor and lo[D]ve.

[D]In a tender little baby,
God gave you and empty field to till,
And a h[G]eart and a mind,
[Em]Filled with seeds of [A7]love.
[D]So plant the seeds and work the field,
And god will take your labor,
And[G] grow 'em into s[A7]omething go[D]od.

[CHORUS]

[D]Don't be afraid to get your hands [G]dirty[A] ,
[D]Don't be afraid of the sweat on your[G] brow[A] .
[D]'Cause when you teach the children to[G] live[A] ,
It a[G]lways seems w[A]orth it someh[D]ow.

[VERSE]

fields vast and empty,
Wa[G]iting to be plowed.
And a [Em]seed planted th[A7]ere.
[D]I teach them and I love,
Then I stand back and watch,
As God gr[G]ows them into s[A7]omething go[D]od.

[CHORUS 2]

[D]Don't be afraid of the sweat on your[G] brow[A] .
[D]'Cause when you teach the children to[G] lOve[A] ,
It a[G]lways seems w[A]orth it someh[D]ow.
