[VERSE]
[G]Well, I come from Colorado. It’s a magical [C]
[G]place.
[G]Filled with lots of yummy gre[Em]en chile and a
[C]vocal band called [G]FACE
[G]Our governor’s a great[Em] guy, though you
[C]might disagre[G]e.
[G]He’s asking us to do something that[Em]’s
[C]pretty plain to see. [G]
[CHORUS]
[G]Wear the damn mask, Wear the damn
[D]mask. It re[Em]ally isn[C]’t that h[G]ard a task. [C]
[G]Masks are good for me, and masks a[Em]re [C]
[G]good for you.[D] Masks are even go[C]od for
your weird neighbor [G]Lou.
(Come on Lou, Put on the Mask!
I don’t wanna this is America!
you should think about moving away from Lou)
[G] Em. [C]
In this time of COVID, masks are here to
[G]help! Th[G]ey keep us safe from a virus, [Em]
[C]that’ll make our lungs go, "Yelp!” [G]
Well, technically what they do is
dramatically reduce the transmission
rate of the virus by catching respiratory
droplets out of your lungs that can get
on surfaces or into the air and make you breathe
them in and if you’re an asymptotic transmitter
not wearing a mask means you could be exposing
everyone you love to a deadly virus that’s already
killed almost 150,000 people in the US alone,
that’s 50 9/11s, which is a pretty good reason to
wear a damn mask!
(Breathe-Put on Mask)
[G]Wear the damn mask, Wear the damn
[D]mask. It re[Em]ally isn[C]’t that h[G]ard a ta[C]sk.
[G]Masks are good f[Em]or me, and [C]masks are
[G]good for you. [G]I can still sin[C]g with my ma[Em]sk
[G]on, too!
In fact, here’s a list of just some of the things
you can do perfectly normally while wearing your mask!
[G]You can wear a mask at t[Em]he grocery store
wh[C]en you go to buy your[G] kale!
[G]You can wear a mask while you watch
Em.
Tiger King and think about how Carol
[C]Baskin should be in ja[G]il. (That lady straight up fed her husband to tigers)
[G]You can even wear a mask while having [Em]
sex, though that I d[C]o not recommend. [G]
[G]Because if you’re sleeping someone you
feel the need to wear a mask in bed with [Em]
you’ve probab[C]ly got bigger problems than
a mask can solve. [G]
You’re gonna need to get that checked out. But, when you do, they’ll ask you to...
[G]Wear the damn mask, Wear the damn
[D]mask. It re[Em]ally isn[C]’t that h[G]ard a task. [C]
[G]Masks are good for me, and masks a[Em]re [C]
[G]good for you. Masks are[D] even good for [C]
your weird neighbor [G]Lou.
(Don’t be a sheep!)
Lou, if being a sheep means saving people’s lives
and ending this thing sooner rather than later, then baaaa baaa
Look...
[G]I know it’s. inconvenient. My[Em] mask makes [C]
me break out. But,[G] it pro[G]tects you and [Em]
your family [C]and everyone you care about. [G]
[G]I want this to be over, and t[Em]his is the
[C]fastest way. [G]Cause, believe it or not, I’d
kinda like t[Em]o have another beer with Lou [C]
[G]someday.
[G]So Wear the damn mask, Wear the damn
[D]mask. It re[Em]ally isn[C]’t that h[G]ard a task. [C]
[G]Wear the damn ma[D]sk! [G]
