Love Is Pleasing Chords & Lyrics - Karan Casey

[INTRO]
[C]

[VERSE]
I never [C/G]thought my love would [C]leave me
Un[F]til that morn[C]ing when [D]he stepped in
Well, [C/G]he sat down and I sat be[C]side him
And [F]then our [C]troubles, they [C/G]did be[C]gin

[VERSE]
Oh, [C/G]love is teasing and love is [C]pleasing
And [F]love is a [C]pleasure when [D]first it's new
But [C/G]love grows older and love grows [C]colder
And it [F]fades a[C]way like the [C/G]morning [C]dew

[VERSE]
There is an [C/G]alehouse in yon [C]town
And it's [F]there my love[C] goes and [D]he sits down
He [C/G]takes a strange girl upon his [C]knee
And he [F]tells to [C]her what he [C/G]once told to [C]me

[VERSE]
I wish my [C/G]father had never [C]whistled
And I [F]wish my moth[C]er had [D]never sung
I wish the [C/G]cradle had never [C]rocked me
And I [F]wish my [C]life, it had [C/G]not be[C]gun
