I'll step a[G]side for [G7]you if you don't [C]want me
I'll step a[D]side for you if you don't [G]care
I'm not the [G]one to [G7]cling to a broken [C]promise
I'll step a[G]side for for [D]someone else some[G]where
I'll step a[C]side for you if you don't [G]want me
I'll step a[A]side for you and you a[D]lone
And when I'm [G]gone just [G7]promise you'll re[C]member
That I was [G]once your [D]darling all your [G]own

[VERSE 2]
Before you [G]go please [G7]answer this last [C]question
As you [D]gave them too much tear dimmed [G]eyes
Cannot be [G]true you [G7]never cared a[C]bout me
And all those [G]words I [D]treasured were just [G]lies
I'll step a[C]side for you if you don't [G]want me
I'll step a[A]side for you and you a[D]lone
And when I'm [G]gone just [G7]promise you'll re[C]member
(hold) [G] [D] [G]
That I was once your darling all your own
