Elevated Observations Chords & Lyrics - The Hollies

CAPO: 1st Fret

INTRO: [G7] [Dm7]

[G7]On top of a hill is a nice place to be at
Digging the country for [Dm7]miles around
[G7]Watching the people like ants on a hillside
Running a[Dm7]round, running aro[G7]und

So far below me I see the confusion
Small-minded men with their small-minded [Dm7]wives
[G7]If they could see themselves, where I am standing
They'd [Dm7]alter their [G7]lives, [Dm7]alter their [G7]lives

[CHORUS]
And I'm [C]so high up, I touch the [G]sky
And I'm [C]so high up, I touch the [G]sky

[BRIDGE]
Climb up here, jump up here, [Dm]skip up or run up
[G]Get up here somehow, 'cause you'll find your head

Finally finding the level you're after
Ego is dead, [Dm]ego is de[G]ad

INSTRUMENTAL: (variations on G)

[CHORUS]
I'm [C]so high up, I touch the [G]sky
And I'm [C]so high up, I touch the [G]sky

Wish they'd start using the path of tomorrow
There's only way up and one way [Dm7]down
De[G7]cide for yourself on the path you'll be taking
When you look [Dm7]down, [G7]down and a[Dm7]round

CHORUS: (## fade to end ##)
And I'm [C]so high up, I touch the [G]sky
And I'm [C]so high up, I touch the [G]sky
And I'm [C]so high up, I touch the [Ab]sky
And I'm [C#]so high up, I touch the [Ab]sky
And I'm [C#]so high up, I touch the [Ab]sky
