Christmas Carol Chords & Lyrics - Skip Ewing

[VERSE]
[G]I was playing Santa Clause down[C]town on Christmas Eve
When a [D]little girl of 3 or 4 climbed up onto my [G]knee
I could [G]tell she had a Christmas wish [C]behind those eyes of blue
So I [D]asked her "What's your name and what can Santa do for [G]you?"

[CHORUS]
She said, My [C]name is Christmas Carol, I was [G]born on Christmas Day
I [C]don't know who my [G]daddy is and [A7]mommy's gone [D]away
[C]All I want for Christmas is some[G]one to take me [C]home
Does [D]anybody want a Christmas Carol of their [G]own

[VERSE]
Well [A]all that I could say was Santa would [D]do the best he could
And I [E7]set her down and told her now remember to be [A]good
She [A]said I will and walked away, [D]turned to wave goodbye
And I'm [E7]glad she wasnt close enough to see old Santa [A]cry

[CHORUS]
She said, My [D]name is Christmas Carol, I was [A]born on Christmas Day
I [D]don't know who my [A]daddy is and [B7]mommy's gone [E7]away
[D]All I want for Christmas is some[A]one to take me [D]home
Does [E7]anybody want a Christmas Carol of their [A]own

[VERSE]
[B]Early Christmas morning I got [E]up and dialed the phone
And [F#7]made a few arrangements at the County Childrens [B]home
They [B]told me it would be all right to [E]pick her up today
Now my [F#7]little Christmas Carol won't ever have to [B]say

[CHORUS]
My [E]name is Christmas Carol, I was [B]born on Christmas Day
I [E]don't know who my [B]daddy is and [C#7]mommy's gone [F#7]away
[E]All I want for Christmas is some[B]one to take me [E]home
Does [F#7]anybody want a Christmas Carol of their [B]own
Does [F#7]anybody want a Christmas Carol of their [B]own
