Cancer Chords & Lyrics - The Tiger Lillies

[G]Uncle Bill and auntie Mary
[G]Always used to shout
[G]And uncle Bill would knock
[G]Auntie Mary about
With [C]auntie Mary
[C]In such misery
I a[G]lways thought that cancer
Was [Am]like the caval[G]ry

When [G]cancer cut Bill down
[G]They said what a crying shame
[G]Well I never thought so
[G]And Mary did the same
Let’s [C]face it Bill
[C]You were a bastard through and through
So [G]when that cancer cut him down
[Am]I did not feel [G]blue

[G]Cancer cancer it’s so good for you
[G]Cancer cancer it’s so good for you
[C]Cancer it will set you free
[G]The big C was [Am]like the [G]cavalry

[G] When he was on his deathbed
[G]One day for a joke
[G]Me and auntie Mary
[G]Fun at him we'd poke
[C] As he lay there
[C]In his abject pain
[G]Me and auntie Mary
We [Am]sung him this ref[G]rain

[G]Cancer cancer it’s so good for you
[G]Cancer cancer it’s so good for you
[C]Cancer it will set you free
[G]The big C was [Am]like the [G]cavalry

[G] When he died
[G]Later that same day
[G]Me and auntie Mary
[G]For him didn’t pray
But [C]sometimes on a winter’s night
[C]Though he has been long gone
[G]Me and auntie Mary
[Am]Still sing him this [G]song

[G]Cancer cancer it’s so good for you
[G]Cancer cancer it’s so good for you
[C]Cancer it will set you free
[G]The big C was [Am]like the [G]cavalry
