California Chords & Lyrics - Metro Station

Intro: [C]/[F]/[C]/[G]

[VERSE 1]
If I [C]strum chords, would you sing a song with me
If I [F]leave town would you leave along with me
And w[C]e can fly away to outer space
Or we[F] can find a way to l[G]eave this place
We do[C]n't need a map and you can throw your phone away
We do[F]n't wanna hear the things we know they're gonna say
You d[C]on't trust yourself but girl trust in me
Don't[F] look in the mirror the past you don't wanna see

[CHORUS]
Wha[C]t do you say we leave for California
If [Am]we drive all night we can make it by the morning
And[G] no one has to know if we decide to go
What[F] do you say we leave for California

[INTRO]

[VERSE 2]
If [C]we leave our friends then we can be together
We [F]can leave this town if only for the weather
I c[C]ould drive and you could sleep
Whi[F]le the radio collides to the[G] sound of our heartbeats

[CHORUS]
Wha[C]t do you say we leave for California
If [Am]we drive all night we can make it by the morning
And[G] no one has to know if we decide to go
Wha[F]t do you say we leave for California

[VERSE 3]
Hyp[C]notized by the carbon monoxide
Wou[F]ld turning back be a good idea
You[C]r cigarette after cigarette
Can[F]not help to [G]calm your fear
But[C] I'm still driving
Jus[Am]t keep sleeping
We'[G]ll keep moving
But[F] I'm not leaving no[G] I'm not leaving

[CHORUS X3]
Wha[C]t do you say we leave for California
If [Am]we drive all night we can make it by the morning
And[G] no one has to know if we decide to go
Wha[F]t do you say we leave for California
