Best Friends Chords & Lyrics - Stephen Jerzak

I [D]met you way back when and eve[A]n then you were a fr[G]iend t[A]o me
[D]Whenever I fell down you came and [A]picked me off the groun[G]d
[A]Thanks for always having my back

And now [G]you and [A]me are a [D]hopin' and a prayin'
That even though when [G]I'm a[A]way
That [D]every little feeling will always stay the [G]same

I k[A]now that if it's [D]really meant to be
Then baby, we don't need to worry at [G]all
[G]La, [D]la,[A] la

[G]Some of [A]your old [D]friends never thought that I was ever that great
But [G]still you [A]never [D]cared what any one of them had to say
'Cause [G]no one [A]knows me [D]like you [G]do
(I'm [G]happy, I'm best [A]friends with [D]you)

[D]Every time I talk to you I [A]can't help but to sh[G]ow my [A]teeth
I [D]wish I had the time and space to [A]tell you in this son[G]g
How [A]super duper awesome that you really are

Well, I [D]took you to my [A]high school dance
And I'm [G]glad [A]we [D]had the [A]chance
[D]But I wish it would've been the Sadie Hawkins dance
'Cause you look sexy in a cowboy hat
(Whoa)

And now [G]you and [A]me are a [D]hopin' and a prayin'
That even though when [G]I'm a[A]way
That [D]every little feeling will always stay the [G]same

I k[A]now that if it's [D]really meant to be
Then baby, we don't need to worry at [G]all
[G]La, [D]la,[A] la

[G]Some of [A]your old [D]friends never thought that I was ever that great
But [G]still you [A]never [D]cared what any one of them had to say
'Cause [G]no one [A]knows me [D]like you [G]do[A] [G]
([D]Oh)

[G]Some of [A]your old [D]friends never thought that I was ever that great
But [G]still you [A]never [D]cared what any one of them had to say
'Cause [G]no one [A]knows me [D]like you [G]do[A] [G]

I'm [G]happy, I'm best [A]friends with [D]you

I hope this you enjoy this tab. It's most definitely not perfect but it's functional. I wished I had found
this chord sheet a few years ago but I'm glad it's out now!
